KABUL, Afghanistan —– As the scorching Afghan sun washed the schoolyard in warm light, Afghan commandos of the 205th Corps and their coalition partners arrived with gifts and messages of hope and security. KABUL, Afghanistan – Lt. Gen. David M. Rodriguez arrived in Afghanistan yesterday to assume his role as Deputy Commander, U.S. Forces-Afghanistan. This marks his second time to serve in this country. He was the Commanding General, 82d Airborne Division/Commanding General, Combined Joint Task Force76, out of Bagram Air Field, from February 2007 to April 2008. |
